Hollywood makes its presence felt in El Dorado at The Cutting Room Floor Expresso Cafe'. Operated by Matthew and Laurin Krause, the writer/director and producer of the independent film Baby's Breath (shot in El Dorado in March of 2003), the Cutting Room Floor is a movie-themed coffeehouse where people can come to enjoy a latte' and learn more about the entertainment industry.
The Cutting Room Floor serves lattes', cappuccinos and Italian sodas daily and is open for lunch with hot soups and sandwiches made the way you like them. In addition, the shop provides continuing information about Hollywood and the industry through with subscriptions to all major trades (Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Backstage West) and a small library of reference books about screenwriting, auditioning, cinematography and general film studies.
Behind The Cutting Room Floor are the offices of Dorado Village Films Ltd., the production company behind Baby's Breath and upcoming independent projects still in the works. Matthew, a former Screenwriting Fellow for Walt Disney Pictures, and executive producer Laurin, will be around periodically to answer questions or just chat about your favorite films.
